By “open access”, we mean that authors’ works are immediately and freely available on the public Internet, allowing anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the entire text of these articles, crawl them for indexing, use them as data in software, or use them for any other legitimate purpose.

“Reproduction is permitted for noncommercial purposes”. The most recent version of the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, which gives writers the broadest rights, is now being used by IJETCIS, which began publishing articles under the Creative Commons Attribution License external link in 2019.

As a result, any article published in IJETCIS—including data, graphics, and supplements—can be freely linked from outside sources, scanned by search engines, and reused by text mining software, websites, blogs, and other media as long as the original publisher and source are properly credited. We think that open access is a valuable component of the scholarly communication process that can and should coexist with other forms of publication and communication, like society-based publishing and conferencing activities, even though IJETCIS publishes all of its journals using this model.

All publications published by IJETCIS are freely available for download in full text. Readers of open-access journals, such as other researchers, are not required to pay a subscription fee or pay-per-view to access articles published by the IJETCIS. Additionally, search engines and indexing databases are more likely to incorporate open-access journals.
